Providence 375 is a collaborative effort put forth by the City of Providence Department of Art, Culture + Tourism, the Providence & Warwick Convention and Visitors Bureau, National Parks Service and Providence Monthly to commemorate the 375th anniversary of the colonial settlement of Providence by Roger Williams in 1636. This six month celebration seeks to explore the history of Providence's founding and Williams' legacy through the stories of the community of people who live and work in the capital city today.
