It’s no surprise that the overwhelming majority of people who work at the Providence Warwick Convention & Visitors Bureau (PWCVB) either grew up in Rhode Island, or went to school here, or both. We have big love for the smallest state.
And who wouldn’t? From the lush foliage in the North to the epic sweep of beaches in the South, Rhode Island has natural beauty that leaves us awestruck. Here in our Creative Capital of Providence, there are so many people using their talents and intelligence to improve our quality of life.
It is our privilege to introduce Providence, Warwick and every corner of Rhode Island to leisure visitors, meeting and convention planners and delegates, travel writers, sporting event attendees and more.
While we focus on Providence and Warwick, our reach is broad. We may book an event into the Rhode Island Convention Center but, rest assured, those attendees often explore, or even stay in, other parts of the state. Through our RI Sports Commission division, we book and support athletic events statewide.
What we do matters to us. We love Rhode Island and consider ourselves lucky to tout its charms. We are also members of this community and are grateful to be able to make an important economic contribution to this state and to the many businesses that we market and promote.
We work hard to market and sell Providence, Warwick and all of Rhode Island but we are reluctant to call it a job. We call it a pleasure.
