Planning on attending this weekend’s WaterFire, July 9, 2016?  We’ve put together a quick list of helpful tips and ideas for you.

1. It is a Full Lighting

More than 80 braziers will be lit from WaterPlace Park all the way to Memorial/South Main Street Park. For a map of the area, click here.

2. Fires will be Lit around 8:22 p.m. (Sunset)

This Saturday, the fires will be lit at sunset, around 8:22 p.m. and will stay lit until 12:30 a.m. That’s enough time to grab some dinner in the middle of it all. Click here for some downtown restaurants that are super yummy! Be sure to map your directions to be sure your walk isn’t too far and don’t forget to MAKE A RESERVATION!!

3. Book a Boat Ride

Each WaterFire event, Providence River Boat Company offers visitors a way to view it all from the water and this weekend is no exception. Boat rides can be booked from 8:30 p.m. until 11:59 p.m. It’s a 30-minute river cruise for $25 for adults and $20 for children under 12.  Click here for more information.

4. Feeling Like a Good Scare?

It may not be Halloween, but it’s perfect weather for a ghost tour. Providence Ghost Tour offers a chilling tour of the East Side that begins at 8 p.m. and ends at 9:30 p.m.  Tours start at Prospect Park, only a 10 minute walk to the WaterFire Basin.  Just a heads up, some of the walking is up hill, so wear some comfy footwear. There are a limited number of spots available, so be sure to buy your tickets ahead of time. Click here for more information.

5. Where do I park??

Thanks to the folks at Downtown Providence, RI, there is a fabulous interactive parking map to help you answer that question!  Click here to take a look.
