Thursday, December 24
Deemed the “The Number 1 Holiday Party of the Year” by USA Today, the Matzoball is back in Providence as the nation’s leading Jewish singles event. Prepare for the “ultimate party experience” from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. at the upscale Rebel Lounge and Restaurant in Providence.
Skate with Santa
Santa will be in Kennedy Plaza on Christmas Eve! Join him from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Alex and Ani City Center for a fun-filled afternoon of ice skating, crafts and games. The pavilion is heated and Ellie’s Bakery will be providing hot cocoa and treats. Sport your best ugly sweater for a chance to win gift cards.
Saturday, December 26
A Christmas Carol
Christmas may be over, but there’s no need for “bah humbugs”! Continue the celebration at Trinity Repertory Company in downtown Providence for “A Christmas Carol.” This Rhode Island holiday tradition is fit for all ages. Show times are noon or 5 p.m. Thursday, Saturday and Sunday and the show continues the following week.
Holiday Lantern Tour
Walk through the historic streets of Newport, RI and learn about the holiday traditions of years past and hear the tales of Colonial Newporters. This holiday evening tour departs at 4:30 p.m. from the Brick Market Museum & Shop, weather permitting, and lasts about 75 minutes.
Sunday, December 27
It’s a Wonderful Life
Keep the holiday spirit going and attend the final performance of “It’s a Wonderful Life” at the Ocean State Theatre Company in Warwick, RI. Enjoy this family-friendly musical take on the 1946 holiday classic. Sunday show time is 5 p.m., with matinee and evening options also available on Saturday, Dec. 26.
