Friday, August 19
Head down to Matunuck's Theatre by the Sea to check out the smash hit musical "Sister Act." This hilarious show is sure to get you on your feet with its original music by Tony® and eight-time Oscar® winner Alan Menken. Friday's show starts at 8 p.m.
Chase Rice at Alex and Ani City Center
Country music is making its way to downtown Providence at the Alex and Ani City Center, as Chase Rice rolls into town. Chase Rice has been hitting the charts with "Gonna Wanna Tonight" and "Ready Set Roll." Be sure to show up early, as openers Brandon Ray starts at 6:30 p.m. and Filmore starts at 7:20 p.m. Chase Rice goes on stage at 8:30 p.m.

Shape Play at Providence Children's Museum
Explore shapes with your children at the Providence Children's Museum this Saturday. The Discovery Studio opens up its Shape Play space where kids will be able to toss, sort, stack and match an array of shapes to create designs and patterns and explore symmetry. You'll be able to check out the exhibit at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
WaterFire will be holding a full lighting starting at sunset this Saturday. Enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of WaterFire, an art installation of nearly 100 bonfires set ablaze on the surface of three rivers right in the middle of Providence. This WaterFire is sponsored by Fidelity Investments and National Grid. The fires are lit at 7:30 p.m.

Body Worlds Vital
Get an in-the-flesh look at the marvel of design and mechanics that is the human body at Body Worlds Vital, which recently opened at the Rhode Island Convention Center. Body Worlds uses "Plastination" to preserve real human bodies donated to science to display the human anatomy in its natural form. The exhibit opens at 10 a.m.
