95.5 WBRU Summer Concert Series: Mainland
Looking for something to do on Friday night? How about something free. 95.5 WBRU and the city of Providence put together a great lineup for this summer's free concert series. This Friday's main act is Mainland, with Eric and the Nothing as the opener. Head over to Waterplace Park at 7:15 p.m. for the first act.
Comedy more your speed? Then check out James Goff at the Comedy Connection of Rhode Island. James Goff has appeared on "Gotham Comedy Live," Comedy Central's "Open Mic Fight," Sirius Radio, and a performance for Superbowl XLII Champions, the New York Giants. There are two shows, one at 8 p.m. and a second at 10 p.m.

Hope Street Farmer's Market
The East Side is a beautiful neighborhood in Providence where you'll find plenty of shops, restaurants and quirky boutiques. There's also an exceptional farmers market held at Lippitt Park every Saturday in the summer through October. Browse through dozens of local farmers and vendors, and enjoy music from local bands as you walk through the park. The market opens at 9 a.m.
Bring the kids over to the Providence Children's Museum for Bubble Blowout. Experiment with bubbles big and small in the Museum Garden. Children will be able to use different wants and tubes to explore the different way you can make bubbles. The exhibit opens at 11 a.m.

6th Annual Member's Picnic at Sunset
Head on down to Blithewold Mansion, Gardens & Arboretum for their 6th Annual Member's Picnic at Sunset, a night full of music, food and fun. This picnic is a thank you to all of the members, but is also open to the general public. The fun starts at 5:30 p.m.
