Salon: Poet/Memoirist Reginald Dwayne Betts
Check out the latest SALON series over at the Providence Athenaeum as Poet Reginald Dwayne Betts discusses his work. Betts talks about his time spent in prison and how it impacted his work. The talk starts at 5 p.m.

Big Jay Oakerson
Kick off your Saturday with a roaring good show at the Comedy Connection of Rhode Island with Big Jay Oakerson. Oakerson has a unique story-telling style to his comedy show and is not one to miss. There are two shows on Saturday, one at 8 p.m. and another at 10:15 p.m.
After the Beanstalk: Jack, Jill and the Giant
Kids can be a part of the story at the Providence Children’s Museum during the interactive performance of "After the Beanstalk." Children will help Jack and Jill solve spacial puzzles in this expansion of a classic story. The event is free with Museum admission and recommended for kids ages 3 and up. There is one show an hour from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The Chef's Table Dinner Series: Gracie's with Chef Matthew Varga
Spend your weekend being pampered like a royal at the Blithewold Mansion during their Chef's Table Dinner Series. Sunday's series will feature Chef Matthew Varga from Gracie's showcasing some of the best dishes he can offer. The dinner starts at 6 p.m.
