Friday, May 6

Beethoven's Ninth
The Rhode Island Philharmonic will be presenting a special production of Beethoven's Ninth at The VETS this Friday. The show starts at 6:30 p.m.

Daffodils at Dusk
Head over to Blithewold Mansion, Gardens & Arboretum to explore the grounds "after hours." Enjoy an evening of live jazz, a complimentary signature cocktail, and the opportunity to stroll through the spectacular spring garden at dusk. There will also be a fun scavenger hunt game for the kids on the lawn. The festivities start at 6 p.m.

Saturday, May 7

Cinco de Mayo Block Party
Check out the local flavors, sounds and textures of the city in the sixth annual Cinco De Mayo Blog Party at Grant's Block in Downtown Providence. The event is free and open to the public. The party starts at 12 p.m.

Oklahoma!
Take a trip back to the wild west in this turn-of-the-20th-century classic at Trinity Repertory Company. "Oklahoma!" follows two cowboys competing for the love of one woman. Enjoy the humor, romance and music from this unforgettable performance. The show starts at 2 p.m.
