Welcome to another GoProvidence Weekend Roundup. Ring in the first weekend of Fall with a "Wicked" performance, a lobster boil, plenty of brews and a full lighting of Waterfire.
Friday, September 23
Head on over to the Providence Performing Arts Center to catch "Wicked" on stage. Enjoy the wonderful tale of the Wizard of Oz as told from a different point of view. The show runs now through October 8. Friday's show starts at 8 p.m.
Brews and Blues Beer Tasting
Ready for some brews and blues? Head on over to the Windjammer at the Atlantic Beach Park in Westerly to enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes of Brews and Blues. Along with the live music and food, you'll be able to taste more than 30 different beers. The fun starts at 6 p.m.
Saturday, September 24
The International Oktoberfest returns to Providence in a new location, at the Alex and Ani City Center. Enjoy German cuisine and music while tasting beers from around the world. The festival starts at 12 p.m.
WaterFire will be holding a full lighting starting at sunset this Saturday. Enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of WaterFire, an art installation of nearly 100 bonfires set ablaze on the surface of three rivers right in the middle of Providence. This WaterFire is sponsored by Confucius Institute and US-China Institute at Bryant University and NORTEK. The fires are lit at 6:38 p.m.

See Food Differently Lobster Boil
Make your way to Hope & Main in beautiful Warren for their See Food Differently Lobster Boil. Enjoy some delicious seafood while learning about how Hope & Main along with other partners are helping food entrepreneurs bring their dreams to life. There will also be a silent auction, delicious dessert buffet and live music. The event starts at 5:30 p.m.
3rd Annual Thayer Street Fall Arts Festival
Join as over 100 artists and artisans take over Thayer Street for their 3rd Annual Thayer Street Arts Festival. There is something for everyone in this eclectic fair, from hand blown wares to fine art. Bring the family, enjoy some delicious food and musical entertainment. The festival starts at 10 a.m.
