Happy #nationaldogday! If you are a pet owner like me, your pet is most definitely a part of your family. So why wouldn’t you take them everywhere possible? Lucky for me, I live in Providence, which happens to be a very pet-friendly city. Whether dining, shopping, strolling or touring, my little pom Sophia is by my side enjoying her time out and about while meeting new people. In honor of #nationaldogday, here are a few of our favorite spots around the city.

Coffee for me, a bone for Sophia and great people watching sitting street side at either the Small Point Café or Vanuatu Coffee Roasters.

Time for a little shopping on Westminster St. at HomeStyle, Craftland and The Vault.

Dine al fresco on the patio at Luxe Burger Bar with a special menu just for doggies. A few other pet-friendly restaurants include Rick’s Roadhouse, Hemenway’s, Union Station Brewery and The Whiskey Republic.

Time to walk off that lunch! Our go-to spot in the city is Benefit St. … a lovely walk while soaking up the beautiful views. Check out our East Side Walking Tour.
