Welcome to another GoProvidence Weekend Roundup. Thousands of illuminated pumpkins, a special WaterFire surrounded by shades of pink, and plenty of laughs round out this weekend's events.


 Friday, October 2: 

Josh Groban: Stages - A Unique Musical Event 
Josh Groban is coming to the Providence Performing Arts Center on Friday for a wonderful musical experience you can't miss. Groban is on his latest fall tour to help promote his upcoming album, Stages. The show starts at 8 p.m

Bo Burnham
Head over to the beautifully renovated Vets to see Bo Burnham, the youngest person to record a half-hour comedy show at the age of 18. Bo's shows are a mix of stand-up comedy and theatre. The doors open at 7:30 p.m.

 Saturday, October 3:

Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular
The Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular kicks off on Saturday and runs through November 1. This mesmerizing month-long experience features more than 5,000 illuminated jack-o-lanterns along the Roger Williams Park Zoo's quarter-mile-long Wetlands Trail. More than 125 of the gourds are carved works of art that highlight their annual theme. The trail opens to the public at 6 p.m.

WaterFire Flames of Hope Lighting 
October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and to honor that the Gloria Gemma Foundation presents its annual two-day Flames of Hope celebration featuring a full WaterFire lighting on Saturday. Enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of WaterFire, an art installation of nearly 100 bonfires set ablaze on the surface of three rivers right in the middle of Providence. Along the river will be more than 30 vendors who specialize in healthy living and cancer care. The event starts at 10 a.m. and WaterFire starts at 6:26 p.m.

 Sunday, October 4:

A Night of Comedy Supporting House of Hope
Head to the Rhode Island Comedy Connection for a night of laughs for a good cause. The Night of Comedy Supporting House of Hope event features five amazing comedians from around the area. The House of Hope is a nonprofit organization with a mission to prevent and end homelessness in the state. The laughs start at 7 p.m.
