Welcome to another GoProvidence Weekend Roundup! This weekend it's time to finally welcome May and the warm weather with a very promising forecast. This is a busy weekend in Providence with The Greatest Show on Earth returning to the city, and maybe, if we're lucky, we'll see some outdoor patios opening.

 

 Friday, May 1: 

Girls Night Out - An Evening Of Funny Ladies & Drag Divas
Join the DRAGtastic trio of Kitty Litter, Haley Star and Sabrina Blaze, as they welcome the comedian Stephanie Peters to the Stadium Theater. This Girls Night Out will feature stand-up from Stephanie along with Coleen Gavin, known as the "Queen of Rhode Island Comedy." Friday Night Jazz at Aspire
A-Bar transforms into the hottest jazz venue around on Friday nights. Join The Joe Potenza Quartet and special guests for exquisite food, fantastic cocktails and the best atmosphere around. The entrance fee is $5 and jazz begins at 5:30 p.m. For more information click here.

InDowncity Cinco De Mayo Block Party
Start your Cinco de Mayo celebration a few days early with InDowncity at Local 121. Enjoy raspberry margaritas, Tecate, and corn dogs with sriracha crema and chives. The festivities run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Click here for more info.

 Sunday, May 3:

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Presents Circus XTREME
This weekend, prepare to be dazzled as Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Presents Circus XTREME visits Providence. The circus runs through May 3 at the Dunkin' Donuts Center, and is sure to entertain and amaze the whole family. For more information click here.

Eat Drink RI
The Eat Drink RI Festival is a four-day food extravaganza showcasing all of the best food in Rhode Island, and runs through May 3. Sunday's Grand Brunch at the Providence Biltmore features brunch favorites, as well as the jazz ensemble of the Rhode Island Philharmonic, which includes members from the Rhode Island Philharmonic Youth Jazz Program. A portion of the proceeds from the event are going to the Rhode Island Philharmonic Foundations in Learning Exploration. For details click here.
