Welcome to another GoProvidence Weekend Roundup. This weekend enjoy Shakespeare under the stars, another beautiful WaterFire installment and a fantastic Food Truck Friday among other great happenings.

 Friday, May 29:

Food Truck Friday
Happening this Friday, and every Friday in June, is Food Truck Fridays at the Roger Williams Park Carousel Village. Enjoy a smorgasbord of great food from some of the area's best food trucks. The trucks will be there from 4:30 - 8 p.m.

WaterFire Basin Lighting
WaterFire will be having a basin lighting starting at sunset this Friday. Enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of WaterFire, an art installation of nearly 100 bonfires set ablaze on the surface of three rivers right in the middle of Providence. This WaterFire is sponsored by Providence College National Alumni Association.

 Saturday, May 30:

The Life and Death of King John
Enjoy Shakespeare in the best way possible: outside in a beautiful park. The Rhode Island Shakespeare Theater will be presenting "The Life and Death of King John" by William Shakespeare outdoors at the Roger Williams National Memorial. This free event is part of a series of plays that will be taking places at the Memorial this summer. Bring your lawn chairs and even a picnic and experience Shakespeare under the stars. The show starts at 8 p.m.

PawSox vs Louisville Bats
Head on over to McCoy Stadium to catch the Pawtucket Red Sox as they take on the Louisville Bats. The PawSox are the farm team for the beloved Boston Red Sox, so you'll be sure to catch some future All-Stars at this game. It's a great way to spend a Saturday evening with the family. The game starts at 6:05 p.m.

 Sunday, May 31:

Patrick Watson
The Columbus Theatre is proud to present Patrick Watson performing on Sunday. Patrick Watson hails from Quebec, Canada and is on their first U.S. tour. The band is well known for using unusual objects to make sounds in their music. The doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m.
