Welcome to another GoProvidence Weekend Roundup! It's Mother's Day weekend here in Providence, and there are plenty of things to do!

 Friday, May 8:

Get the Led Out: The American Led Zeppelin
Kick off your weekend with some classic rock. Head over to Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel for a Whole Lotta Love and let's hope you don't leave the show Dazed and Confused. Get the Led Out is the premier Led Zeppelin cover band that brings Led Zeppelin's studio recordings to life like you've never seen before. The doors open at 8 p.m.

Volvo Ocean Race
The boats are in down in Newport and the fun activities surrounding the Volvo Ocean Race are well underway. Visit the Race Village where you'll find tons of FREE things to do. Kids can try sailing for free, along with a multitude of interactive exhibits, including bubble soccer and rock climbing. The village will be open until May 17.

 Saturday, May 9:

Seal Feeding Experience
Ever want to get up close with an amazing animal? The Roger Williams Park Zoo has seal feedings every Saturday and Sunday through May 23. Enjoy this experience with your whole family. Feedings start at 2 p.m.

Don't Stop the Music: Bands on the Block
Rhode Island has so much history, even in music. Providence Public Library has created an intricate exhibition and program series to celebrate Rhode Island's long musical history. Bands on the Block is an outdoor concert featuring The American Band and What Cheer? Brigade, who will be leading a parade through the library and out onto the street for all to enjoy. If you come early you can even participate in a parade prop workshop for kids of all ages. This event starts at 10:30 a.m.

 Sunday, May 10:

Mother's Day Brunch!
Sunday is Mother's Day, so what better way to spend the day than to treat mom to a lovely brunch. There are tons of great places to grab a bite to eat: Local 121, The Capital Grille, Centro Restaurant, Hemenway's and even an afternoon tea at The Duck and Bunny to name a few. Take a look at our Mother's Day page here to see what else is going on.
