 Friday, August 28: 

Mike Hanley at the Comedy Connection 
Join the Comedy Connection in welcoming Mike Hanley from the "Today" show. On Friday, August 28 Mike will be performing his stand-up comedy act, which includes jokes on marriage, having kids and the day-to-day grind. Come discover the hilarity of Mike Hanley on Friday and start the weekend off with a laugh.

Brian Blade & The Fellowship Band
Spend an evening at the beautiful, historic Columbus Theatre on the West Side and enjoy the music of Brian Blade & The Fellowship Band. The Columbus Theatre is the perfect place for this band to perform in an intimate setting. Be sure to get your tickets in advance. Show starts at 6 p.m.

 Saturday, August 29:
 

Ocean State Summer Pops Orchestra Concert
Spend one of the last Saturdays of the summer enjoying patriotic marches and light classical pops as performed by Rhode Island's only 60-piece pops orchestra. Come down to the Summer Pops at the Stadium Theatre in Woonsocket and spend quality time with friends and family by enjoying this soon to be yearly family tradition.

Brew at The Zoo 
Head to Roger Williams Park Zoo for Brew at the Zoo, Rhode Island's largest outdoor beer festival with 65 local, regional and national brewers. Attendees will be able to enjoy all of the zoo's animal exhibits, animal encounters and live music, and will receive a free commemorative "Brew at the Zoo" pint glass. This is a 21+ event, and no one under the age of 21 will be permitted (including young children and infants in strollers). Designated drivers will receive a discounted, no-alcohol-consumption ticket.

 Sunday, August 30:

Providence Folk Festival
The Providence Folk Festival at Roger Williams National Memorial sets the perfect tone for a fun Sunday afternoon, and features folk, acoustic and singer-songwriter acts from the RI area. This event is free to the public, so just bring a lawn chair, a blanket and all of your family and friends.
