Providence Warwick

Volunteerism

Meeting and convention delegates across the U.S. have been giving back to their host communities in increasing numbers.  This new hybrid of travel and community service has even earned a clever moniker - voluntourism.

The Providence Warwick Convention & Visitors Bureau works with meeting and convention planners interested in voluntourism to match them with a non-profit organization that best reflects their community service objectives.  From Save the Bay, which protects Rhode Island's greatest resource - the stunning Narragansett Bay, to the Providence Rescue Mission, which gives a warm meal and a warm bed to homeless Rhode Islanders, there are plenty of groups that make a profound impact on our state and on the lives of those who volunteer to help them.
