George Washington: Lessons in Leadership - 2/18/2010

Times: 6:00pm - In anticipation of George Washington’s Birthday on the 22nd, we welcome author Gerald Carbone to speak on his new book Washington: Lessons in Leadership. The biography of Washington's military career shows how he took an infant army that could not feed nor clothe itself, or move in formation, and built it into a fighting force that, with French assistance, was able to take down the world's strongest army. Carbone makes the case that despite losing more battles than he won, Washington earned his place in the pantheon of great generals featured in Palgrave Macmillan's "Great Generals" series. Books will be available for purchase and signing after the lecture.
