Every October, for the last 4 years, the Statehouse in Providence, RI casts a pink glow across the city skyline. The Gloria Gemma Foundation is responsible for this and several other events throughout the city including a very well attended 5K on October 9, 2011. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the city of Providence and the Gloria Gemma Foundation kick it off with style and grace every year. This October 8, the 4th Annual Flames of Hope WaterFire event will take place http://www.gloriagemma.org/
The Providence Marriott Downtown is proud to announce the Best of Providence package available in the month of October. Items included will be to promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2011. Also in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Bluefin Grille will be offering a very
special pink dessert:  an orange blossom panna cotta (Italian custard) with pomegranate coulis
and crisp tuile cookie served in a stem less martini glass tied with a pink ribbon ($7). The Bluefin
Grille Lounge will also feature special pink cocktails throughout the month. "We're proud to show our support towards the Gloria Gemma Foundation and Breast Cancer Awareness in general. When we first discussed how we could show support, we all agreed; there was no other organization we'd rather partner with than the Gloria Gemma Foundation. Their organization has helped this community discuss and support an uncomfortable subject and turn it into a celebration of remembrances and an opportunity to educate," Eric Churchill, General
Manager of the Providence Marriott Downtown.

The Providence Marriott Downtown and the Bluefin Grille are located at One Orms Street in
Providence, Rhode Island.
