The Providence Warwick Convention & Visitors Bureau (PWCVB) recently organized a charitable drive to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Providence.

The PWCVB worked set up drop-off stations with its member organizations, collecting an impressive haul of arts and craft materials, bathing suits and towels, school supplies, and a wide variety of other items. The value of the good received was $2,500.

"We were very impressed with both the quality and quantity of the items we received from the PWCVB," said David Bodah, Senior Director of Development for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Providence. ‘The donation will continue our mission of enabling and inspiring your people to reach their full potential."

President & CEO Martha Sheridan credited her staff for their hard work on the initiative.

"Our team showed impressive initiative from the planning to the execution, ensuring a successful endeavor," Sheridan said. "We consider ourselves an important part of the local hospitality and business community and this was a way we could make a different kind of impact."
