The 8-Concert Classical Series is the core of the Philharmonic Orchestra season. Classical Series concerts take place on Saturday evenings at 8:00pm at The Vets, Providence. MUSIC DIRECTOR LARRY RACHLEFF, beginning his 17th season with the Orchestra, will conduct seven concerts; GUEST CONDUCTOR GRANT LLEWELLYN takes the podium for the October 13 concert. Following each of his concerts, Mr. Rachleff, frequently accompanied by the guest soloist, holds casual post-concert conversations with members of the audience. RESIDENT CONDUCTOR FRANCISCO NOYA presents informal pre-concert talks from 7:00-7:25 before each concert; Philharmonic Music School students frequently perform in the mezzanine lobby from 7:15-7:45.
