Come celebrate the first annual Ocean State Oyster Festival and learn about the exciting past of Rhode Island's oyster industry. On Saturday, September 19 the Oyster Festival will line RiverWalk Park on South Water Street in Providence from noon to 5 p.m. Tickets are $25 each and include a half-dozen oysters (raw or restaurant-prepared), a local micro-brew beer or a glass of wine, as well as access to food trucks, a DJ and a shucking contest. Children under 12 years of age are free to attend.
