February Vacation is coming up and that means plenty of safe family fun activities need to be planned. But don't worry, we've got you covered. Here is a list of seven fun places to go this February Vacation.
Due to state and local regulations, restrictions at these locations may be in place. Please visit their respective websites before visiting in person to be sure to follow COVID restrictions. Making reservations ahead of time is always a great way to help as well!
The Roger Williams Park Zoo is perfect for spending a few hours walking around and enjoying the animals. And yes, the animals are out even in the winter! A lot of the animals are actually more active and playful in the winter, especially the snow leopards.
Even if they're on vacation, kids can still learn while they're having fun. The Providence Children's Museum has plenty of interactive exhibits for the kids to play and learn. Tickets for admission are available thru Friday, Feb. 19, and must be purchased online. Each session is capped at 50 visitors per state guidelines.
Base Station VR Lounge offers action-based virtual reality. Let the kids fight their way through zombie hordes, dance around with electronic swords, or explore fantastic virtual worlds. Check out their website for special coupons and to learn about their COVID restrictions.
Launch Trampoline Park
Get your kids active with a trip to Launch Trampoline Park. This indoor trampoline park is just what the kids (and you) need to get off the couch and stay active.
Another great example of fun exercise is ice skating. The BankNewport City Center is located in the heart of downtown Providence. Bring your own skates or rent them — there's no excuse not to skate and have fun with your kids.
Dave & Buster's is the perfect adventure for parents and kids alike. No matter what type of game you like to play, you'll find it there. And, there is a full restaurant with a great kids menu in case the little ones get hungry.
R1 Indoor Karting
If you feel the need for speed, buckle up at R1 Indoor Karting in nearby Lincoln. It features a brand-new, European-style asphalt track and electric Biz Karts for your racing adventure. There’s also bowling and billiards, for the slower folks in your group, as well as on-site dining.
