One Providence New Year's Eve Ball
Be a part of the city's celebration at the first annual One Providence New Year’s Eve Ball at the Rhode Island Convention Center. Wear your best and enjoy live entertainment as you welcome the New Year in style. Beverages, desserts and late-night bites will be provided as well as more than $10,000 worth of giveaways. The event will be held from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. Tickets can be purchased online.
Friday, January 1
Sparkle! An Outdoor Family Event
Start the New Year off right with Blithewold Mansion’s final Sparkle event of the season. From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. you can stroll through the property’s illuminated gardens, warm up by the bonfire, and tour the mansion itself. Hot cocoa and s’mores will be provided along with carol singing by the Very Merry Dickens Carolers.
Saturday, January 2
Grab your friends and laugh off 2015 with PJ Thibodeau at Comedy Connection of Rhode Island. You will experience an “entertaining look at life from a simple man’s point of view.” Thibodeau has headlined at various clubs throughout the country as a laid back, yet acclaimed comedian. Show times are 8 p.m. Friday, and 8 p.m. or 10:15 p.m. Saturday. This event is 18+.
Narragansett Beer 125th Anniversary Bash with Deer Tick
What happens when you bring together a local beer, radio station, venue and band? Just the best anniversary party ever. Narragansett Beer is celebrating its 125th with the help of 95.5 WBRU at Lupo’s Heartbreak Hotel. Come on down and rock out to Providence’s very own hometown band, Deer Tick. Doors open at 8 p.m. and show starts at 9 p.m.
Sunday, January 3
All ages are welcome to the Providence Performing Arts Center for the “world’s best-loved musical” Annie. The show will be performed Dec. 29 through Jan. 3, with matinee options available Saturday and Sunday. Tomorrow may only be a day away, but you don’t have to wait until then to buy your tickets! Family packages are also available Wednesday and Thursday.
