The 7th Annual Eat Drink RI Festival kicks off on Wednesday, April 25 with four days of epic food events. Whether you’re a seasoned gourmand, or just someone who likes to treat yo' self from time to time, this festival has something for every palate. Spending the weekend in PVD? Wednesday night’s opening event at the Café at Easy Entertaining is a BRAND NEW celebration of everything wine with the Sommelier Smackdown, featuring RI’s expert sommeliers going to head to head with a wine theory quiz, a blind tasting, and a wine and food pairing competition decided on by YOU. Who will reign supreme in the wine world?
Thursday is the return of one of Rhody’s most popular dinner series, Dinner by Dames at Skyline at Waterplace. This is THE reason to put on that fabulous outfit you haven’t had a reason to wear yet. Indulge in a multicourse dining experience paired with cocktails. These chefs and bartenders pull out all the stops and raise money for AIDS Care Ocean State.
Friday evening, we are celebrating all things about mobile restaurants. The Truck Stop, a fundraiser for the Rhode Island Community Food Bank, is an all-you-can-eat party with 23 food trucks. Held at the Food Bank's lot, the event will have a band, a big tent and fun for the whole family.
Saturday is the culmination of the festival with the Grand Tasting at the Rhode Island Convention Center. This is the BEST way to eat and drink all afternoon, with tastings of more than 60 locally produced beer, wine and spirits, as well as an abundance of local food artisans.
