Happy June, friends! Warm weather is here and summertime festivals, events and things to do are filling up our calendar. Here's an update on what's going on here at the PWCVB and with you, our partners.
The PWCVB is looking forward to the 43rd Annual PrideFest, this Saturday, June 16. We've added Pride RI pages to our site to help you make your plans now. Festivities are scheduled throughout the day, including the spectacular Illuminated Night Time Parade.
Providence Restaurant Weeks (you know ... those two amazing weeks where you never have to turn on your oven) is coming up July 8–21, with three-course lunches available for $16.95 and dinners for $29.95 or $34.95. Start making your reservations now.
The 19th Annual Federal Hill Stroll was last Tuesday, June 5. For the second year in a row, voters named Pane e Vino as King of the Hill and Massimo as the Most Creative Venue. Thank you to all of the participating restaurants for their hard work. Also, thank you to our sponsors, the Federal Hill Commerce Association and Rhode Island Monthly.
Dad's big day is this Sunday, June 17, so be sure to check out the PWCVB's Father's Day page for ideas on what to do with the dad in your life.
Our next Partner Meeting is on Thursday, June 21, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at Federal Hill Pizza. RSVP to CRM Database and Research Coordinator Beth-Anne Tremaine.
Lookin’ for a cool view and refreshing cocktails? Look no further than Rooftop at the Providence G. We’ve known about this gem for a while now, but recently U.S. News & World Report named The Rooftop as one of “50 Top Rooftop Bars Around the World.”
CycleBar Providence is looking for PWCVB partners who would like to showcase their businesses at this premium indoor cycling studio located in the heart of the city. Contact Lisa O'Rourke at CycleBar for more info.

Remember when you were a kid and you had to sit in a restaurant with your family and behave? Why not let your inner child (and your real child) have a little fun. Food Network recently created the “50 States of Kid-Friendly Restaurants,” and lucky for us, Luxe Burger Bar made the list. With both "regular" and adult milkshakes on the menu, the whole family will walk away happy!
Newport Vineyards is expanding! On June 20, they will be opening Taproot Brewing Co. Taproot beer will be on tap at Brix Restaurant, and available to all guests at the winery. All are welcome to attend Taproot’s Grand Opening Party on Wednesday, June 20, 5 p.m.–8 p.m. Find more information and RSVP here.
Grow Smart Rhode Island is hosting a forum this Friday, June 15 from 9 a.m. to noon in the Rotunda Room at the Rhode Island Convention Center, focusing on how RI can promote and implement Transit Oriented Development (TOD) more effectively and in more places. Cities and towns across the nation are seizing on public-private partnership opportunities to build stronger, more vibrant and sustainable communities through transit-oriented development. This forum is free and open to the public, and a light breakfast will be provided. Click here for details and registration info.
