Rhode Island Pride's Triple Crown Pageant is a long-awaited yearly event that crowns a brand new Mr. Gay, Miss Gay and Ms. Lesbian RI. A few weeks ago, many Rhode Island LGBT hopefuls headed to our capital city to throw their hats in the ring at a chance of being one of the newly crowned titleholders. This year, the Rhode Island Pride Board of Directors made a step toward the future of LGBT equality by adding two new titles to the "Triple" Crown Pageant.

Throughout the application process, applicants were encouraged to list what title they think they would most identify with. After toiling through many applications, the new titles chosen were Miss/Mr. Trans and Miss/Mr. Bisexual.

Congratulations to our 2015 titleholders!

Mr. Gay Rhode Island - Richie DeFilippo
Miss Gay Rhode Island - Complete Destruction
Ms. Lesbian Rhode Island - Lorena Gorman
Miss Trans Rhode Island - Alejandra Blaze
Miss Bisexual Rhode Island - Amber Giselle

Throughout the course of this year, you will see the titleholders at countless events working tirelessly to spread the word of Rhode Island Pride. As we begin our journey into the Pride season, we are sure to see a lot more of them around town. If you happen to spot one of them at an event, or even just in your weekend nightlife travels - say hi and introduce yourself. It's a great way to bring the community closer together.
