Welcome to another GoProvidence Weekend Roundup. Fantastic food trucks, hilarious comedians and certified country stars are in the lineup for this weekend.


 Friday, October 9: 

Food Truck Friday at the Carousel Village 
Every Friday in October you can head over to the Carousel Village in Roger Williams Park for a fantastic offering of food and fun. Bring the kids to explore Hasbro's Boundless Playground and ride the carousel as you enjoy food from some of the area's best food trucks. There will also be live music and a beer garden presented by Trinity Brewhouse and Foolproof Brewing each night. Festivities start at 5 p.m.

Luiz J. Gomez
Luis J. Gomez is a stand-up comedian, actor and writer who is known for his time on MTV's "Guy Code" and more. You can find him this Friday night at Comedy Connection of Rhode Island for a fun-filled night of laughter. Luis' show starts at 8 p.m.

 Saturday, October 10:

Clint Black
Head up to the Stadium Theatre in Woonsocket for a night of country music as Grammy, CMA and ACM Award-winning artist Clink Black brings his full band to Rhode Island. Strap on your boots and dust off that 10-gallon hat for one of the best country artists in the business. The show starts at 8 p.m.

Columbus Day Weekend Festival 
The Federal Hill Commerce Association is hosting their annual Columbus Day Weekend Festival, which kicks off on Saturday with opening ceremonies happening at DePasquale Plaza. Be sure to stick around for live music, vendors and even a parade, occurring throughout the weekend. The opening ceremonies start at 10 a.m.

 Sunday, October 11:

A Bronx Tale
"A Bronx Tale" is a touching and funny memoir written and starring Chazz Palminteri, the director and co-star of the movie "A Bronx Tale." Palminteri's one-man show, brings 18 characters to life with its classic coming-of-age story. The show starts at 7 p.m. at The VETS.
