Welcome to another GoProvidence Weekend Roundup. Fairies everywhere, beer galore and plenty of live music are in store for you this weekend!


 Friday, July 31: 

The members of two local bands, Deer Tick and Ravi Shavi have come together to form a new band that will be touring around the country. Happiness is set to play at the Columbus Theatre on Friday. The show starts at 8 p.m..

Friday Night Concert Series
The Department of Art, Culture + Tourism along with 95.5 WBRU are teaming up to bring you free concerts all summer long. The concerts are held at Waterplace Park with the beautiful Providence skyline as the backdrop. This week's headliners are Saint Motel with We Were Astronauts. The concert starts at 7:15 p.m. but be sure to show up early to grab a seat on the lawn.

 Saturday, August 1:

Augtoberfest at Foolproof
Just because it's not October, doesn't mean we can't celebrate beer! Foolproof Brewing Company and the Pawtucket Foundation are hosting the 3rd annual Augtoberfest at the brewery. Come enjoy food trucks, live music, raffles, games, and not to mention - the beer! For a full list of pricing click here. There are two sessions, one at 2 p.m. and another one starting at 5:30 p.m.

WaterFire will be having a full lighting this Saturday starting at sunset. Enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of WaterFire, an art installation of nearly 100 bonfires set ablaze on the surface of three rivers right in the middle of Providence! This WaterFire is sponsored by Fidelity Investments and Gilead-C is for Cure: A WaterFire Lighting for RI Defeats Hep C. The fires are lit around 8:05 p.m..

 Sunday, August 2:

Fairy Festival
Head over to Blithewold Mansion, Gardens & Arboretum in Bristol for the fifth annual Fairy Festival. This festival is fun for all ages, with events including: fairy house building, a fairy parade, story times and even a performance by Ocean State Dance. The festivities start at 10 a.m
