In the midst of the holiday shopping and entertaining, it's nice to take a minute to give back to our community. Whether you're making a donation, adopting a family or volunteering at a food pantry, every little bit helps those who may not be in a position to celebrate. We've gathered up some easy ways to share the wealth this year.
Purchase a gingerbread kit from Ellie's Warm-A-Heart Gingerbread Program. You get a delicious gingerbread person to decorate, and 100% of the proceeds go toward providing winter clothing, warm pillows and blankets, and financial support for families in need. Grab a kit today at Ellie's, Dave's Fresh Marketplace and other locations around the state.
Coming to Providence for Goosemas on Dec. 12 or 13? Bring an unopened toy valued at $30+ (or a suggested cash donation) to the Conscious Alliance booth for their Art That Feeds Toy Drive and receive a Goosemas 2025 poster.
Now through Dec. 20, drop off a new or gently worn coat to the Share the Warmth with One Warm Coat Drive at Providence Place while you're out doing your holiday shopping. Collection bins are located throughout the mall.

Get in on the 12 Pies of Christmas as Pizza Marvin pairs with 12 chefs at restaurants around the state to offer a new pizza collab every day through Dec. 22. With participants like Nicks on Broadway and There, There, plus ice cream specials from Gregg's and Portugalia Marketplace, you won't want to miss a day. Best of all, 100% of the proceeds go to the Rhode Island Food Bank.
The VETS and comedian Matt Rife have teamed up for a special one-night event with a holiday twist. They'll be collecting new, unopened toys for local kids at Matt's comedy show on Dec. 22.
Keep the good vibes going after the holidays at Roger Williams Park Zoo & Carousel Village's Visit the Zoo Day Food Drive on Dec. 27. Bring non-perishable food items to benefit the Rhode Island Food Bank and receive free daytime entry to the zoo!
