It’s supposed to be April showers … not April never-ending snow brings May flowers. At this point May will be bringing in root vegetables. But, at the PWCVB, we are "glass half full" people, so our eye is on the (hopefully) inevitable warm months ahead. Read below for an update about what's happening here at the PWCVB and with you, our partners.
PWCVB NEWS
Our Spring/Summer 2018 GoProvidence visitors guide is now on brochure racks throughout Southern New England. Did you know you can also view the guide online right here?
Thank you to our attraction and restaurant partners who participated in the first annual Visitor Center Open House on March 29. We had more than 70 guests, each excited to hear about your businesses and how the Visitor Center is here for visitors — and residents — as a resource.
Our next Partner Meeting is on Tuesday, April 24 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the Flatbread Company. RSVP to CRM Database and Research Coordinator Beth-Anne Tremaine.
As always, be sure to add your events to our online calendar. If you have any questions or difficulties please reach out to PWCVB Digital Media Manager Nick Millard.
PARTNER UPDATES
CycleBar Providence is now open at Providence Place and is offering free parking for spin students and FREE RIDES from April 12–25. There are plenty of class times throughout the week to fit your schedule, and shower facilities are available for those taking classes before work or at lunchtime.
Our friends at FoodTrucksIn.com have created ANOTHER Food Truck event. Swing by Skyline at Waterplace on the fourth Thursday of every month from 5:30–8 p.m. With an average of 10 trucks at each event, there’s definitely something for everyone.
One of our newest partners, Waffle, has been named the best waffle in Rhode Island by the Food Network. These aren’t your typical waffles — they range from traditional waffles to PIZZA waffles. Yes. Pizza waffles. YUM!
The Spa at the Providence Biltmore will be closed as of June 1. If you have a gift certificate, don’t forget to use it. On a good note, we can’t wait for the iconic glass elevator to be back in use.
