We've made it through the first month of the new year and there's already plenty going on! Luckily we've got an extra day for all of the February fun this year and even better news, Punxsutawney Phil declared an early spring arrival so warm temps and longer days are just around the corner.

Read on to find out what's new at the PWCVB and with you, our partners.

Stephen Hopkins House

Last month, the PWCVB launched the newest self-guided walking tour in the "Providence Walks" series, Early Black History, during a press event at The Center for Reconciliation. The tour was developed in collaboration with The Center for Reconciliation, Stages of Freedom and Rhode Island Historical Society and features local landmarks, such as the Roger Williams National Memorial and the Stephen Hopkins House, but looks at them through a decidedly different lens. The materials are available in print at the PWCVB’s Visitor Centers as well as digitally at goprovidence.com/earlyblackhistorytour.

The PWCVB is busy promoting things to do for Valentine's Day and February Vacation, along with where to find some Winter Fun in general. Our Valentine's Contest is running now and is giving away a pair of tickets to see the legendary Ms. Lauryn Hill in concert at The VETS.

The Spring/Summer issue of the PWCVB's visitors guide, GoProvidencewill be on the shelves April 1. GoProvidence, the primary fulfillment piece of the PWCVB, is produced twice a year and is in the hands of thousands of visitors, meeting planners and convention attendees. Don't miss out on the chance to advertise your business to these potential customers. Click here to book your ad now or contact Christine Phillips at cphillips@GoProvidence.com.

Be sure to add your events to our online calendar. If you have any questions or difficulties please reach out to Digital Media Manager Nick Millard.
