Top o' the March to ya! While we've been in touch through various channels, it's been a full year since our last edition of Partner News. Obviously, a lot has changed over the last year (far too much to recap here) but we remain here for you, offering whatever support we can. Check out the new section at the bottom of this page for more info on how we can highlight what you've got going on through the months and please let me know how to make these newsletters most effective to you and your business.

RW: Stay Local Eat Well

Nearly 50 restaurants participated in the latest Providence Restaurant Weeks, which wrapped up early last month. The theme of "Stay Local. Eat Well." allowed plenty of flexibility for specials catered toward dine-in and takeout options. 

We've currently wrapped up two marketing campaigns promoting safe, fun and unique ways to support businesses in Providence, Warwick and throughout the entire Ocean State. 100 Ways to Buy Local RI listed 100 different businesses or activities curated from all of the state's tourism organizations. Joy Rides, a collaboration with Warwick's Department of Tourism, Culture and Development and the Blackstone Valley Tourism Council, provided themed day trips or overnight stays throughout the regions.

Back in December 2020, we launched our Event Lending Library with funds awarded through the state's "Take It Outside" grant. This library features a variety of event equipment available to be borrowed for up to two weeks at a time for free. Now's the perfect time to start thinking about spring and summer events and get your requests in before the snow thaws!

For all the restaurants out there, we'll be booking appearances for the "Cooking on The Rhode Show" TV segment for the months of April through June. Be on the lookout for an email from Marketing & Communications Manager Greg Desrosiers in the coming weeks.

It's Finally Time to Celebrate

Are those wedding bells? At the beginning of the year, Rhode Island Monthly partnered with the PWCVB and Warwick Tourism to create an online directory of more than 100 wedding vendors and suppliers as part of the "It's Finally Time to Celebrate" campaign. The directory features special offers and discounts to newly engaged Rhode Island couples from DJs, florists, transportation companies, stylists, photographers and more through March 31. Many of the deals allow couples to book now and save later.

Finally, how about a round of applause for T.F. Green Airport's recognition by USA TODAY as the No. 3 Best Small Airport in the country! It's Green's second straight year ranking among the top three best small airports in the annual contest.
