Pizza lovers, it's your time to shine! Providence Pizza Week is right around the corner, but don't expect the usual pepperoni or plain cheese. Don't get us wrong, we love a classic pepperoni, but for Pizza Week we asked for something a little more creative. Dozens of Providence area restaurants delivered!

Sponsored by Navigant Credit Union and Rhode Island Monthly, Providence Pizza Week runs April 14–20 and features participating restaurants in and around Providence. There are so many great flavor combos that you'll want to try them all. Not only that, but you'll also be able to vote for your favorites in three categories — Most Creative, Most Instagrammable and Most Delicious.

Reigning champion Francesco's Pizzeria, who has taken all three categories for the past two years, is hoping for a repeat with this year's General Tso's Pizza (General Tso's chicken, roasted red peppers and scallions). Will they triumph again this year? That's up to you!

Napolitano's

Other creative pies include Napolitano's Prospect Park (mozzarella, goat cheese, fig jam, prosciutto, arugula and balsamic onions on an olive oil base) and Nightshift Kitchen & Tap's Blister in the Sun (blistered shishito peppers, Narragansett Creamery sea-salted feta, EVOO, lemon, chives and fresh chive ranch).

Restaurants outside Providence are getting in on the fun, too. Try the Spring Zucchini & Pesto Pie from Avvio Ristorante in Cranston or head to Warwick for Cork & Rye Gastropub's Eggplant Genovese. North of the city, check out Twin's Pizza in North Providence for their Garlic Shrimp Pizza.

Be sure to keep an eye out for W's Mobile Wood Fired Pizza Oven food truck as they travel around the state — their Loaded Mashed Potato and Spaghetti and Meatballs pizzas are definitely thinking outside the box.

nutella pizza

Got a sweet tooth? We've got you covered. Head to Trattoria Appia for their Nutella Pizza (Nutella, strawberry and whipped cream) or try Pizza Roma's Blueberry Pizza (cream cheese, ricotta, mascarpone and blueberry).

Whether you try just one or taste them all, we want to know! Post your pizza pics with #ProvidencePizzaWeek and tag @GoProvidence. And don't forget to vote in the Providence Pizza Week poll to help us crown this year's winners (and maybe win some prizes for yourself).
