The 18th Annual Federal Hill Stroll is coming up on Tuesday, June 6 and tickets are on sale now. Round up some friends and head to the Hill for an evening of food and fun, as you sample from nearly 30 venues. The Stroll is sponsored by the Federal Hill Commerce Association, OrderUp and Rhode Island Monthly.

Right now, we're promoting events, specials and more on a Mother's Day page, along with a contest giving away a night at the Hotel Providence and a gift card to Stock Culinary Goods. Keep on submitting your events to our calendar, as they are featured on our promotional pages. It may take up to seven days for your event to be posted on our website, so plan accordingly. Limit descriptions to 180 characters if possible. If you have any questions, please contact CRM Database and Research Coordinator Beth-Anne Tremaine.

The next Partner Meeting is Thursday, May 18 at 3:30 p.m. at Providence Coal Fired Pizza, sponsored by OrderUp. Check your inbox for the email invitation.

Take a look at our latest "Small Bites" videos, part of our partnership with the Providence Journal. Learn from the pros how to whip up everything from savory ricotta toast to a delicious asparagus salad.

Partner Update
WaterFire 2017

Mark your calendars — WaterFire has announced dates for its 2017 lightings. This spectacular event brings tens of thousands of people into the city each lighting, which means a whole lot of people will be looking for places to dine, shop, etc.

Amos House is in the need of “unmentionables.” Brand new underwear and socks are needed for both men and women. Feel free to drop them off at the PWCVB main officeVisitors Center or at Amos House, located at 460 Pine Street, Providence, Monday through Friday. It always feels good to give back, so why not get your staff involved?

Looking for something to do on Sunday Funday? Check out the food trucks in front of the Hot Club and enjoy some great food and beer. While you’re there, why not take a ride on the Providence River Boat?   And beginning last Friday, Food Truck Fridays have returned to the Roger Williams Park Carousel Village.

The Newport Marriott has been named “Marriott’s 2017 Hotel of the Year in the America’s.” The hotel just completed its final phase of a full-hotel reinvention that began in 2015. The Grand Ballroom was the last area to be completed and now showcases a contemporary coastal color palette and fresh decorative elements that evoke the sea. Be sure to pop in and check it out while in Newport this season.

The AAA Jacob Hill Inn has received some great news. They've been awarded the AAA Four Diamond rating — for the 16th year in a row. Quite an impressive streak.

Theatre by the Sea begins its season on May 31 with "Beehive the 60’s Musical," and continues throughout the summer with shows like "The Music Man," "Beauty and the Beast" and "The Producers," as well as children’s programming. Be sure to get there early and dine at Bistro by the Sea. It’s an experience that can’t be missed.

By now, I’m sure you’ve heard the news that Norwegian Airlines is flying out of Green Airport. The flights start arriving as early as July. Check out their website for great prices on flights to Europe.

Now that the sun is out, why not take in the scenery and learn a little something about beautiful Rhode Island? Experience Rhode Island is hosting their informative (and fun!) tours seven days a week, and they've recently partnered with the Duck Boats out of Roger Williams Park. As always, their tours pick up right at our Visitor Center (inside the RI Convention Center at 1 Sabin Street).
