Spring has sprung, and with the new season comes so many ways to shop locally for great vintage.
The season kicks off Saturday, April 30 when the Urban Vintage Bazaar returns to the historic Arcade Providence downtown. Hosted by Carmen & Ginger, the event features more than 16 additional vendors selling men's, women's and children's clothing, jewelry, accessories, linens, housewares, toys and games, cameras, artwork and so much more! It again includes the "Vinyl Lounge," a roomful of vendors specializing in vinyl records, and many merchants will have your perfect last-minute items for the "Grown Ass Prom" taking place that night.
The following weekend brings the Saturday, May 7 return of the annual Downcity Cinco de Mayo Block Party, featuring the Providence Rock and Roll Yard Sale hosted by What Cheer Records + Vintage. You'll find vinyl records, vintage and handmade goods, and enough food vendors and live music to keep you shopping, eating and partying in the street all day long.
And just when you thought you couldn't last one more day, The Providence Flea returns to South Water Street, beginning Sunday, June 5. Running throughout the summer along the Providence waterfront, this event showcases the best of local vintage vendors and artisans of handmade products, with live music and an assortment of food purveyors each Sunday.
Each event is free and open to the public to attend. Mark your calendars now so you don't miss any of these great vintage events.
