Please join Macallan Ambassador, Sammy Karachi, on Thursday November the 8th, from 6:00pm – 7:00pm or 8:00pm – 9:00pm, as he returns to Bourbon Street Providence for a one hour educational journey and neat tasting of The Macallan and Highland Park Single Malt Scotch collections. Tasting will include six (6) specially selected Single Malts, described below. The Capital Grille will be a pairing a wonderful desert to compliment the tasting.
THE MACALLAN: The Macallan Double Cask 12 Year Old: Utilizing two types of Sherry-seasoned casks, American and European oak. The delicate flavor of American Oak introduce notes of vanilla, citrus and light oak, which meld into the classic backdrop of European Oak notes of dried fruit and wood spice. The result is a fresh and approachable style of Macallan, rich in flavor, honeyed and indulgent, with a fantastic viscous mouth feel. Suitable for all occasions, Double Cask 12 Years Old will appeal to existing and new Macallan drinkers alike.
The Macallan Triple Cask 15 Year Old: Aged in sherry-seasoned Spanish oak casks, sherry- seasoned American oak casks and bourbon-seasoned American oak casks. An incredibly approachable spirit with an intricate array of notes, highlighted by intensely rich chocolate, with a hint of orange, raisin and cinnamon.
The Macallan Edition 4: Latest release in this innovative annual series. Draws parallel on the new distillery construction using a combination of seven unique European and American Sherry casks. Zesty, vibrant, and invigorative single malt with notes of honey, sweet toffee, fig and citrus fruit.
HIGHLAND PARK: Highland Park Magnus: Crafted using a high proportion of first-fill Sherry-seasoned American oak casks along with refill casks to deliver the lightly peated characteristics of Highland Park but with a sweeter and more profound vanilla flavor profile. Lemon, vanilla cake, caramelized pineapple, light smoke and violets.
Highland Park 12 Year Old: The core expression of the Highland Park range; an Orkney single malt with Viking soul. Perfect balance of smoky and sweet, with a rich full flavor, heather-honey sweetness, a gentle smoky finish with full malt delivery.
Highland Park Valknut: The second in the three-part Viking legend series. Matured in sherry seasoned American oak casks. Crafted with higher percentage of peat than Valkyrie. Uses Tartan barley grown on Orkney. Highly collectible, only 3,600 cases available in the USA. Sweet, smoky, hint of spice, toasted vanilla pods, cracked black pepper, cloves, peat smoke.
