The Library opened its classic Venetian Renaissance building in March 1900. Now on the National Register of Historic Places, the Library is a prime example of turn-of-the-century (Gilded Age) American architecture. Visit & learn about this architectural gem at the heart of our community, as well as our unique Special & Rhode Island Collections. The tour lasts approximately 1 hour or more. If parking, plan accordingly. Parking is available on street and in area lots.
Tours are also available upon request for groups of four or more.
The Library also encourages visitors during its regular open hours. Please come to the Library’s main 150 Empire Street entrance.
