Join us as we walk back into history along the Woonasquatucket River Greenway! Starting at the entry to the Greenway at the Manton Avenue bridge in Johnston, we will walk north, enjoying the sites and sounds of an (almost) summer evening. From there, we will pay a visit to the historic Clemence-Irons House, which Historic New England proudly touts as, "one of the oldest houses in the Ocean State and an important record of twentieth-century restoration methods".

While there, we'll be given a brief tour, delicious lemonade and a trip back into the history of Johnston, hosted by Dan Santos of Historic New England. On our return trip, we will have the privilege of learning more about the history of Johnston and the Woonasquatucket River from WRWC volunteer and Johnston Historical Society member, Joe Jamroz. This will be a double header as attendees will also lend a hand to WRWC River Rangers, picking up litter along the way back! Join us as we see where we've come from and learn more about how the Woonasquatucket River Greenway is changing neighborhoods and changing lives.
