Located in downtown Providence, the Dunkin' Donuts Center is the epicenter of sports and entertainment in Rhode Island. Originally built in 1972, the “Dunk” completed an $80 million renovation in 2008. With 31,000 square feet on the arena floor and 25,000 square feet on the concourse, the multipurpose arena is capable of hosting everything from family shows and concerts, to sporting events, cheerleading and gymnastics tournaments — and it still leaves room for more than 14,000 spectators.
An ASM Global-managed facility, the Dunk is home to the AHL Providence Bruins and the Providence College men's basketball team. The Dunk has hosted the First and Second Rounds of the NCAA Division-I Men’s Basketball tournaments, NCAA regional hockey tournaments and the NCAA Women's Frozen Four. The arena is connected to the Rhode Island Convention Center via skybridge, which is in turn connected to the 564-room Omni Providence.
