Located in downtown Providence, the Dunkin’ Donuts Center is the epicenter of sports in Rhode Island. Originally built in 1972, the “Dunk” recently underwent an $80 million renovation. With a 31,000 sq. ft. arena floor and a 25,000 sq. ft. concourse, the arena is capable of hosting everything from skating events to basketball and cheerleading tournaments - and it still leaves room for more than 13,000 spectators. In 2010, the Dunk played host to the First and Second Rounds of the NCAA Division-I Men’s Basketball tournament. The arena is connected to the Rhode Island Convention Center via skybridge, which is, in turn, connected to the 564-room Omni Providence.
