Our Scene
We offer a laid back, fun atmosphere in a beautifully restored historic building that was built in 1885 by Jerothmul Barnaby, 19th century millionaire who made his fortune selling clothing in Providence. An eccentric and unpredictable man, legend has it he would race his horses recklessly down Broadway, where he lived at Barnaby's Castle and would throw clothing off the roof of his store. Following his death, his wife was poisoned from a bottle of whiskey by her psychiatrist - the first ever murder committed by U.S. mail.
