We are pleased to announce that Amica Insurance has been awarded the naming rights to the Civic Center in downtown Providence. Formerly known as the Dunkin' Donuts Center (the Dunk), the venue has been renamed the Amica Mutual Pavilion (the AMP Providence). It will continue to be home to the Big East’s Providence College men’s basketball team and the AHL’s Providence Bruins ice hockey team. It also hosts major national touring acts, family shows and other sporting events.

“Amica was founded in Providence more than 115 years ago, and securing naming rights to the Civic Center honors our lasting commitment to the state,” said Ted Shallcross, who will take over as Amica’s new president and CEO on Oct. 1. “We’re thrilled to partner with the Rhode Island Convention Center Authority to continue making great memories in this building.” Amica is the longest-standing mutual insurer of automobiles in the U.S.

We look forward to a great partnership with Amica, and to welcoming sports and music fans from across the state and around the region to the AMP Providence.”
