Make the season bright during Providence’s Three Nights of Lights. This annual three-day festival includes fun for the whole family, with citywide events incorporating the theme of light. The festivities include installations and activations by WaterFire, FirstWorks and The Avenue Concept, tree lightings, live entertainment, holiday markets, and so much more.

5:30-7:30 p.m. - Providence City Hall Tree Lighting

The tree lighting event includes live entertainment, a visit by Santa, food trucks, a public art installation by Pneuhaus and more.

Roving Selfie Station

5-9 p.m. - FirstWorks Multimedia Installation at Grace Episcopal Church

Experience this multimedia performance installation by artist collective MASARY Studios.

The Avenue Concept Outdoor Gallery

Murals and sculptures will be activated with lighting, sound and performances at various locations.

Ice Sculpture Garden

Stroll through a winter wonderland of ice sculptures at the BankNewport City Center.

5:30-9 p.m. - WaterFire Basin Lighting

Don't miss this WaterFire Basin Lighting at Waterplace Park with a visit from Santa, a holiday market and more.

5:30-9 p.m. - WaterFire's Holiday Winter Market

During WaterFire, get some shopping done at this market of local vendors in Waterplace Park.

4:45-10 p.m. - FirstWorks "Sound Sculpture" Interactive Light and Audio Experience at Biltmore Park

On Fri., Dec. 6 experience an interactive sound and light instrument for spontaneous, cooperative composition, comprised of 25 cubes representing individual notes in spatial dimension and time. Unique sound and light scores are created with each audience engagement.
