Make the season bright during Providence’s Three Nights of Lights, brought to you by GoProvidence. This annual three-day festival returns to the city December 5, 6 and 7, and features fun for the whole family, with citywide events incorporating the theme of light. Festivities include installations and activations by WaterFire, FirstWorks and The Avenue Concept, tree lightings, ice sculptures, live entertainment, holiday markets, and so much more.

The Avenue Concept Outdoor Gallery
Murals and sculptures will be activated with lighting, sound and performances at various locations.
4:30-8:30 p.m. – Gallery Night Providence x The Avenue Concept
Gallery Night will offer three free guided trolley and walking tours leaving from the Graduate Providence, including a guest-hosted tour by Rhode Island Monthly Editor-in-Chief and Avenue Concept Board Chair Jamie Coelho. This is a fun way to check out some galleries and "Buy Art" for the holidays. Tours will stop at partner galleries exhibiting small works/buy art shows, The Avenue Concept's Illuminated Avenue activation and will include a warming stop for a complimentary wine tasting at ENO Fine Wines. Tours are on a first-come, first-served basis — no advance sign-ups necessary!
Friday, December 6
11 a.m.-3 p.m. – LoveShackFancy Pop-Up Shop at The Beatrice
LoveShackFancy is popping up in The Beatrice for an exclusive shopping event. Treat yourself or pick out the perfect gift in the lobby of the hotel.
4:30-8:30 p.m. – Illuminated Avenue
Stroll this FREE Curated Pathway connecting Three Nights of Lights activities through Downcity from Fulton St. to Westminster St., with an Eddy Street pop-up exhibit! You'll find an interactive sculpture experience with artists, a warm-up party station at The Salon, streetscape lighting along Fulton and Westminster streets, and illumination of AS220's Shepard Fairey mural.
4:45-9 p.m. – FirstWorks presents MASARY'S "Sound Sculpture" Interactive Light & Audio Experience at Biltmore Park
Step into a glowing world of light and music that you have a hand in creating! This interactive sound and light instrument for spontaneous, cooperative composition is comprised of 25 cubes representing individual notes in spatial dimension and time. Unique sound and light scores are created with each audience engagement.
Ice Sculpture Garden
The Ice Sculpture Garden returns to Biltmore Park for a second year! Browse the frozen creations by Art in Ice and don’t forget to pose for photos, tagging @GoProvidence and #ChillPVD. Sponsored by The Capital Grille, the Downtown Providence Parks Network and RMO PR.
5-9 p.m. – PVD Downcity Holiday Market
Grant's Block transforms into an enchanting outdoor holiday marketplace to gather, shop, drink, eat and support local businesses. Nearby shops and restaurants will be serving holiday cheer with specials, curated gifts and holiday programming.
5:30-7:30 p.m. – Providence City Hall Tree Lighting
This festive tree lighting event features live musical performances by two youth choirs and headliner Chachi Carvalho, a Santa Parade, Trinity Rep carolers, food trucks and more!
