The Providence Warwick Convention & Visitors Bureau (PWCVB) has partnered with Engaged in Southern New England and Warwick Tourism to create a website for nearly 100 Rhode Island wedding vendors to offer special offers and discounts to newly engaged Rhode Island couples. The online directory launches Friday, January 15.

The period bracketed by Christmas and Valentine’s Day is often seen as “engagement season” and shortly thereafter, couples begin their planning. This year is expected to be a little busier, with many 2020 weddings being postponed. Deposits and other payments now will help the hard-hit wedding vendor industry.

“We are grateful to our partners in Warwick and to the team at Rhode Island Monthly Communications for working with us to curate a stellar selection of offers,” said Kristen Adamo, CEO and president of the PWCVB. “Even if a couple isn’t tying the knot this year, they can still lock in a good deal for the future while supporting a local business right now. The weddings and events industry has been virtually shut down during the pandemic and this is a great way to help.”

“Rhode Island Monthly has been publishing a bridal industry-related magazine for almost 30 years,” said John Palumbo, president and publisher of Rhode Island Monthly Communications. “Currently, we are the only locally owned regional bridal publication for Rhode Island and southeastern New England. The opportunity to participate as a partner in this endeavor was embraced without reservation and with all available resources. Working with GoProvidence and Warwick Tourism bodes well for our collective success.”

DJs, florists, transportation companies, stylists, photographers and more are offering discounts and packages through March 31. Many of the deals allow couples to book now and save later. Visit www.rimonthly.com/wedding-vendors-ri for a full list of vendors and offers.
