WaterFire Providence, the award winning arts organization, is proud to announce another date for the WaterFire 2012 event season.

Thanks to Webster Bank and the Girl Scouts of Rhode Island, Inc. there will be a full WaterFire lighting on Saturday, September 29, 2012.

The Girl Scouts of Rhode Island, Inc. will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of Girl Scouting at WaterFire, which will include a 100 person "ring of fire" torch ceremony to kick off the evening, a special bridging ceremony, a procession of Girl Scouts of all ages -- past and future generations -- from Steeple Street to Memorial Park, where the wishes and dreams of these girls and women will be on display and illuminated for all to see. More events to be unveiled closer to the event date.

We can't think of a more fitting and far-reaching way to celebrate 100 years of Girl Scouting than by sponsoring an evening of WaterFire. The party is already in place, we're just going to add a Girl Scout "flare" to the evening - celebrating 100 years of building girls of courage, confidence and character in a quintessentially "Rhode Island way"!
- Jean McGrane, CEO Girl Scouts of Rhode Island, Inc.

For the fifth consecutive year Webster Bank returns as a season sponsor of WaterFire Providence and co-lead fire sponsor of the lighting on September 29th. A very big thanks to Webster Bank for many years of support.
