Make the season bright during Providence’s Three Nights of Lights. This annual three-day festival includes fun for the whole family, with free citywide events, all incorporating the theme of light. The festivities include instillations and activations by WaterFire, FirstWorks and The Avenue Concept, tree lightings, live entertainment, holiday markets, and so much more.
Three Nights of Lights will be held December 5, 6 & 7, 2024.

Special Olympics Donut Week
This year’s Three Nights of Lights kicks off Special Olympics Donut Week, an annual initiative where Dunkin’ franchisees in Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts donate 25 cents from every donut sold to Special Olympics. Special Olympics Donut Week runs Saturday, Dec. 2 - Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023. Show your support for Special Olympics Rhode Island by visiting Dunkin' or donating online.

5 p.m. - Providence City Hall Tree Lighting
The tree lighting event includes live entertainment, a visit by Santa and more.
5 p.m. - Roving Selfie Station
Strike a pose at the Roving Selfie Station by Luke Renchen Entertainment, sponsored by Dunkin’.
5-9 p.m. - FirstWorks Multimedia Installation at Grace Episcopal Church
Experience this multimedia performance installation by artist collective MASARY Studios.
5-9 p.m. - The Avenue Concept's Nighttime Public Art Gallery
Murals and sculptures will be activated with lighting, sound and performances at various locations.
Ice Sculpture Garden
Stroll through a winter wonderland of ice sculptures at the BankNewport City Center.
5:30-9 p.m. - WaterFire Basin Lighting
Don't miss this WaterFire Basin Lighting at Waterplace Park with a visit from Santa, a holiday market and more.
5:30-9 p.m. - WaterFire's Holiday Winter Market
During WaterFire, get some shopping done at this market of local vendors in Waterplace Park.
5-9 p.m. - FirstWorks Multimedia Installation & Live Performance at Grace Episcopal Church
On Sat., Dec. 2 experience a live ensemble performance, as well as a multimedia installation by artist collective MASARY Studios.
