Easter is early this year, and Providence is leaning all the way in. Head over to Roger Williams Park Zoo & Carousel Village on Friday or Saturday to meet the big guy himself! The Easter Bunny is on-site for photos, and the carousel and train rides will be running as well. Get your tickets today!
On Saturday morning, Track 15 is opening its doors an hour early for a family Easter Egg Hunt. Little ones (5 and under) get their own dedicated hunt, while the big kids gets the run of the whole food hall, and yes, there are golden eggs. Parents, the bar opens at 10 a.m., so everyone wins.
Also on Saturday, the Providence Community Bake Sale takes over Oberlin with treats from some of the city's best local spots including Little City, There There and more. All proceeds go to Amos House and Dorcas International, so it's basically guilt-free sugar.
Narragansett Brewing is throwing a Five-Year Anniversary Celebration on Saturday with tours, a limited-edition anniversary beer, commemorative glasses and appearances from their mascot, Tallboy. If you've ever wanted a behind-the-scenes peek at the brewhouse, this is your moment.
Andrew Bird hits The VETS with the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra on Saturday evening. The Grammy-nominated violinist and multi-instrumentalist is celebrating the 20th anniversary of "The Mysterious Production of Eggs" with a full album performance featuring orchestral arrangements, plus fan favorites from his nearly 30-year catalog.
