Welcome to our GoProvidence Weekend Roundup with all the hottest happenings in PVD this weekend.
At the Providence Performing Arts Center, "SUFFS" tells the story of the fight for women's suffrage with passion, wit and determination. This Tony Award-winning musical celebrates the brilliant, stubborn women who changed history.
FUNDA FEST: A Celebration of Black Storytelling brings internationally acclaimed storytellers to various locations around Providence. Drawing on rich Black storytelling traditions, these performances connect with audiences of all ages. You can even sign up for the Liar's Contest on Friday night to share your own tall tale and compete for cash prizes.
The Rhode Island Philharmonic performs The Blue Danube at The VETS, with conductor Ruth Reinhardt leading the orchestra through works by Dvořák, Prokofiev, and Strauss. The evening includes a side-by-side performance with students from the youth orchestra.
This weekend is going to be a cold one, which makes it ideal weather for visiting Roger Williams Park Zoo & Carousel Village during Winter Wonder Days. Many animals are more active in cooler temperatures, and half-priced admission runs through the end of February. Bundle up and enjoy a quiet winter visit!
