The summer is coming to an end, but there are still some amazing festivals happening in and around Providence this September. 

African Film and Arts Festival

This five-day festival shines a spotlight on rarely-seen films, highlighting the incredible talents of filmmakers from Africa and its Diaspora. Explore a diverse array of films and immerse yourself in the unique musical traditions that have shaped these cultures over centuries. Celebrate the rich tapestry of contemporary African cinema and the vibrant sounds of music traditions.

RI Seafood Festival
Sept. 16–17
India Point Park

The Rhode Island Seafood Festival is an annual event that brings together the best local seafood, as well as beer, wine and spirits from Ocean State producers. Your ticket covers admission into India Point Park and includes a full day of live music from local bands, as well as access to restaurant and art vendors. Food and drink are not included in the ticket price.

RI Vegtoberfest
Sept. 23
Trinity Beer Garden

Biltmore Park will be filled to the brim with plant-based vendors. Tickets include a sample from each brewery, distillery and vegan restaurant. Shop the vegan marketplace filled with vegan artists, makers, food producers and more. Full pours of spirits and seasonal beers from local distilleries and breweries will be available for purchase at the bar, along with vegan specialty cocktails. There are a limited number of tickets available for each session (11 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m.), and they tend to sell out in advance, so be sure to get them while you can.

Armenian Food and Arts Festival
Sept. 23–24
Sts. Vartanantz Church

Enjoy delicious Armenian delicacies, including pastries and native dishes such as flame-grilled chicken, shish kebab, losh kebab, falafel and rice pilaf. The event will also include live Armenian music, a youth dance group, arts & crafts vendors and a 50/50 raffle. Free valet parking will be available.
