Summer is here, and along with it comes lots of warm weather (fingers crossed). Here are a bunch of outdoor activities you can enjoy in and around Providence.

Providence Kayak Company

Explore the beautiful Woonasquatucket and Moshassuck Rivers as they converge right in the heart of downtown Providence. You can rent single or tandem kayaks for 45–90 minutes, or take a guided tour with up to 15 people.

Confident Captain

Take a sunset tour, a nature tour around Wickford Harbor, or even rent a boat to take out yourself. Tours are 60 minutes long, and you can bring the whole family.

The Providence Flea

Shopping isn't normally an outdoor activity, but with the summertime Providence Flea you can enjoy some fresh air and some fresh finds. The Providence Flea is open every Sunday in the summer and is located at 345 South Water Street .

La Gondola

If you don't want to explore the rivers in Providence by kayak, you can sit back and relax on an authentic Venetian gondola instead. La Gondola has many river tours, which include music, food and even a bottle of champagne. Perfect for date night!

Historic Walking Tours

Explore some of Providence's neighborhoods with one of four self-guided historic walking tours, including Downtown, The East Side, The Jewelry District and The West Side. These are available in printed versions in our Visitor Center at 1 Sabin St., as well as online.
