Hopefully we're spared from the old adage "April showers bring May flowers." While the winter wasn’t too rough, we are ready for the SUN! April gives us just a taste of what summer in Rhode Island is like. From graduations to cookouts, longer days to lazier afternoons, we all know there is nothing better than summer (and spring) in Rhode Island.

Read on to find out what's new at the PWCVB and with you, our partners.

GoProvidence Spring/Summer 2019Federal Hill

Our Spring/Summer 2019 GoProvidence visitors guide is now on brochure racks throughout Southern New England. Did you know you can also view the guide online right here?

The Federal Hill Stroll is just a hop, skip and a jump away on Tuesday, June 11 from 4:30–7:30 p.m. Our signature event includes the best parts of Federal Hill — the food and festive atmosphere. Tickets will go on sale soon. If your business is on The Hill and you'd like to take part in the Stroll, please reach out to Jessica Caparco at jcaparco@goprovidence.com

Providence Restaurant Weeks should also be on your culinary radar. Mark your calendar for a two-week vacation from cooking from July 7–20.

Be sure to add your events to our online calendar. If you have any questions or difficulties please reach out to Digital Media Manager Nick Millard.

Providence Kayak Company

Providence Kayak has partnered with the Providence Marriott Downtown for a Pedal & Paddle Providence Getaway. That’s right, they’re encouraging guests — or residents who deserve a little staycation — to discover Providence from a totally new perspective. With custom-made itineraries, the city is your oyster.

On Thursday, May 9, CycleBar Providence and G Pub are hosting “Pints for Pat,” a fundraiser to benefit the Pat Tillman Foundation. Located at the G Pub, this night will consist of light food, the first pour of Guinness, samplings, a silent auction, as well as many other surprises. Click here to buy tickets or here to find out more about the Pat Tillman Foundation.

Voting is open for Rhode Island Monthly's 2019 Best of Rhode Island® Reader’s Poll. Don't forget to go to rimonthly.com/vote to vote for your favorite restaurants, stores, attractions and more across the state.

As a reminder, don't forget to join the PWCVB Partner Facebook page here.
